My Granny Square Cushion

Want to make a granny square cushion? Why not think of one yourself? I was on holiday a couple of months ago, and I did not bring enough yarn to finish my blanket. So while I was on the boat back home (Dover - Calais) I used the yarn that was left and invented my own cushion. I tried and tried until I had the granny square I loved. So I finished the cushion at home and now it is still a nice memory of a perfect holiday!

Pink Baby Ballet Slipper

Hi!  LOOK!  LOOK!!!  My first baby slipper/bootie!  I just finished it except for the ribbon tie.  Just had to share with those that would understand the accomplishment of something new they learned how to do with a hook, some yarn, a pattern and patience.

Now to get another one to match, that'll be a challenge.  I actually was practicing since I don't even have anyone to give it to but was always fascinated by making shoes

If only we had a baby somewhere around here to model it for us!
Happy crocheting to you.

A good idea again...

Hello to you all...

I'm writing to tell you that I found this pic while I was looking for an idea to make a scarf ...
I didn't find the pattern, but I guess this is not so difficult and it's totally beautiful... so I'm gonna give it a try..

Also I want to share with you a pic of my baby boy feet... it's amazing how clear it is...
Technology has left me and "proud-daddy" without words...
Our little boy should be here by middle August... so we are getting ready with anticipation.

That's it!... Thanks for reading!!

And Here's the Hat!

Just a quick note because I wrote about this project just a few posts ago. This time I'm just posting a photo of the cap that I made to go with the jacket. I had a leftover button so I made a little flower using the button for the middle. Also got to give it to her father today who is a work colleague of mine. He loved it and hopefully mum will love it too! We are hoping to visit them at home and see the little one in person but I thought better give him the pressy now because by the time we get to visit them she'll have grown too big for it! hehehehehe

Granny Mania

Howdy everyone I thought I would do a really quick blog tonight to show off some photo’s of what I’ve been working on. I’m sure everyone in the UK has had sun today and so we are all bright and cheerful :-) I’ve been working on some granny squares that just epitomise sunshine for me.

196-9680_IMGHere are the little crochet cookies getting ready to have ends sewn in and be turned into granny squares.

196-9682_IMGAnd here they are again with their sunshine cheerful border so happy :-)

Unfortunately I now suspect I don’t have enough of the yellow wool to complete as many granny squares as I wanted to. Oh well I’ll just need to keep crocheting until I run out.

196-9685_IMGAlso on the theme of granny square mania here are a couple of other afghans, blanket or throws recently completed.
